Trickle, trickle goes the sweat on people’s foreheads and bodies before sizzling on the burning ground below. This week in Melbourne has been hot and I imagine all those in said area of Aussie Land have wished that their lethargic selves could be submerged into a refreshing pool of cooling water or spread out on a bed of ice. Then came the rain…plummeting down with sharp force whilst accompanied by sudden strikes of lightning.
The weather can be a fascinating thing. Quite like these creations of beauty by Australian designer Bill Hicks. The aquamarine gemstones conjure images of glistening water or appreciated ice or a puddle underneath the sun. But when encrusted in eighteen carat white gold, the idea of submerging in a pool of luxury seems much more desirable.
