scribble scribble

“Draw a picture of the sea, young child”
“OK!”
And so she picked up her crayons and frantically scribbled in an attempt at resembling waves.

Kenzo’s spring summer 2014 collection is one many of us can relate to. It can be interpreted in two ways: Carol Lim and Humberto Leon’s perception of over-fishing and the way the ocean is being carelessly treated (hence the scribble-like patterns) or the knowing that the inartistic amongst us  can have our level of capability transferred into super appealing, high fashion prints. This in itself is a reason to love this Kenzo collection, even before taking note of the cropped shirts and easy-going athletic shapes.
